Tanishka: Hey there!! Merry Christmas to all our readers! It’s finally the festive season so, I thought of sharing with you guys the books on my TBR (to be read) list. Although I’m not going to write much about them ,I will try to give you a rough idea regarding what the books are about.
Hope you enjoy the books mentioned further in this post!
- Carve The Mark by Veronica Roth
I know the book is not out yet and will be published in January 2017 but I really cannot wait to read this brand new book by one of my favorite author (squeals!!). The story takes place in outer space where the two main characters must decide between helping each other to survive—or destroying one another.
- A Week Of Mondays by Jessica Brody
This book is about sixteen year old Ellison Sparks who is having a serious case of Mondays. Now the question is what is this ‘serious case of Mondays?!’ Well to start with She gets a ticket for running a red light, she manages to take the world’s worst school picture, she bombs softball try-outs and her class election speech (note to self: never trust a cheerleader when she swears there are no nuts in her bake-sale banana bread), and to top it all off, Tristan, her gorgeous rocker boyfriend suddenly dumps her. For no good reason! Aww…poor Ellison!! Now what will happen to her?
- Replica by Lauren Oliver
This book is about two girls Lyra and Gemma who face a number of obstacles. I really don’t know much about the details of the story but the best thing about the book which fascinates me is the stories of Gemma and Lyra mirror each other, each contains revelations critically important to the other story. Their narratives can be read separately or in alternating chapters. So yeah that’s why I am pretty excited to read this book.
- The Game to the walk of shame by Jenn P. Nguyen
This book is about Taylor Simmons who is SCREWED! Well I’ll just get straight to the point that after getting drunk in a party she wakes up next to bad boy surfer Evan McKinley, the entire school seems intent on tearing Taylor down with mockery and gossip. Taylor then persuades Evan to pretend that they’re in a serious romantic relationship. After all, it’s better to be the girl who tames the wild surfer than just another notch on his surfboard.
- My Unscripted Life by Lauren Lauren Morrill
The story revolves around a girl named Dee Wilkie who is till getting over the fact that she was rejected by the precollege fine arts program of her dreams. But on the bright side she wouldn’t have been around to say yes to an unbelievable opportunity: working on the set of a movie filming in her small Southern town that just happens to be starring Milo Ritter, the famous pop star Dee (along with the rest of the world) has had a crush since eighth grade. But now the question arrives will anything happen between Millo and Dee?
- Lost Labyrinth by Zoraida Córdova
In this book a girl named Alex who stands out in her family. By ‘stand out’ I mean that she hates magic even though she is the most powerful witch born in a generation. At her Deathday celebration, Alex performs a spell to rid herself of her power. But it backfires. Her whole family vanishes into thin air, leaving her alone with Nova, a brujo boy she can’t trust. A boy whose intentions are as dark as the strange markings on his skin. The only way to get her family back is to travel with Nova to Los Lagos, a land in-between, as dark as Limbo and as strange as Wonderland…
- My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsella
I really cannot wait to read another epic novel by my favorite author Sophie Kinsella!!!!!! This is how I feel right now:
So anyways this book is about Katie Brenner whose life according to others is the perfect definition of P-E-R-F-E-CT.But the truth is that she rents a tiny room with no space for a wardrobe, has a hideous commute to a lowly admin job, and the life she shares on Instagram isn’t really hers. But one day her dreams are bound to come true, aren’t they?
- Something in Between by Melissa de la Cruz
One thing Jasmine never expected especially at the time of national scholar award invitation that her family is illegal! That means no scholarships, maybe no college at all and the very real threat of deportation. For the first time (yes first time), Jasmine rebels, trying all those teen things she never had time for in the past. Well things change when Royce Blakely, the charming son of a high-ranking congressman enters in her life.
- The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
Lia is a Princess that means being the First Daughter of the House of Morrighan she is supposed to rightfully follow the rules and traditions for the sake of her kingdom which also includes marry someone she’s never met. But our princess flees on her wedding day…
- Adorkable by Cookie O’Gorman
Our adorable dork Sally Spitz needs a ‘fake boyfriend’ but guess whom she asks for help? The one and only Becks, soccer phenom, all-around-hottie, and Sally’s best friend practically since birth. But now what’s the problem? Well, Sally’s been in love with Becks all her life–and he’s completely clueless.
- It End With Us by Colleen Hoover
I really love reading Colleen Hoover books!! That’s why this book is no exception. This book is about Lily who come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up – she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true. But (there has to be a BUT isn’t it?!) As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan – her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
I guess this is the end of this post now. So, I really hope you enjoyed reading about the books which I plan to read.
