OCTOBER BOOK HAUL!!

Hello! I present you with the list of books that I am planning to read this month! I have quite a few books to present as I have bought a few books this month plus the ARCs that I have received are a great bonus! So, without further ado, let’s get started!!

Rules We’re Meant to Break by Natalie Williamson

Amber lives by strict rules to survive her mother’s love life: Always keep your eyes on the horizon and never get close to anyone connected to Mom’s boyfriends.

But after they move in with Kevin, the latest of her mom’s “soul mates,” the rules become increasingly difficult to follow. Kevin’s daughter, Cammie, keeps acting like Amber’s friend, even though she’s definitely not. And Jordan—star basketball player, hottest boy in school, and Cammie’s best friend—keeps showing up at the most inconvenient moments.

Amber has reasons for every one of her rules, and following them is the only way to protect her heart when her mom inevitably moves on. But as she spends more time with Kevin, his daughter, and especially Jordan, she starts to wonder if the rules might be worth breaking this time.

why i want to read it: the synopsis and the beautiful cover is what intrigued me the most! Plus, It’s been really long since I stumbled upon such a great YA novel which seems to deal with almost all aspects of the protagonist’s life along with romance.

2. Our Stop by Laura Jane Williams

Nadia gets the 7.30 train every morning without fail. Well, except if she oversleeps or wakes up at her friend Emma’s after too much wine.

Daniel really does get the 7.30 train every morning, which is easy because he hasn’t been able to sleep properly since his dad died.

One morning, Nadia’s eye catches sight of a post in the daily paper:

To the cute girl with the coffee stains on her dress. I’m the guy who’s always standing near the doors… Drink sometime?

So begins a not-quite-romance of near-misses, true love, and the power of the written word.

why i want to read it: well, the mysteriousness of the little synopsis left me in GREAT anticipation so I’M REALLY looking forward to the way the story is gonna unfold!

3. Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There’s only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Heads of family, state, and other handlers devise a plan for damage control: staging a truce between the two rivals. What at first begins as a fake, Instragramable friendship grows deeper, and more dangerous, than either Alex or Henry could have imagined. Soon Alex finds himself hurtling into a secret romance with a surprisingly unstuffy Henry that could derail the campaign and upend two nations and begs the question: Can love save the world after all? Where do we find the courage, and the power, to be the people we are meant to be? And how can we learn to let our true colors shine through?

why i want to read it: the main reason is that i’ve heard a LOT about this book and I really can’t wait to start reading it. Plus, the fact that it is a rom-com about a homo-sexual pair (which is very rare) intrigues me even more!!

4. Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds

When Jack and Kate meet at a party, bonding until sunrise over their mutual love of Froot Loops and their favorite flicks, Jack knows he’s falling—hard. Soon she’s meeting his best friends, Jillian and Franny, and Kate wins them over as easily as she did Jack. Jack’s curse of almost is finally over.

But this love story is . . . complicated. It is an almost happily ever after. Because Kate dies. And their story should end there. Yet Kate’s death sends Jack back to the beginning, the moment they first meet, and Kate’s there again. Beautiful, radiant Kate. Healthy, happy, and charming as ever. Jack isn’t sure if he’s losing his mind. Still, if he has a chance to prevent Kate’s death, he’ll take it. Even if that means believing in time travel. However, Jack will learn that his actions are not without consequences. And when one choice turns deadly for someone else close to him, he has to figure out what he’s willing to do—and let go—to save the people he loves.

why i want to read it: the cliffhanger in the synopsis is more than enough to draw me to this book. Plus, the whole time-travelling theme is again very rare in contemporary romance!

WELL, THAT WRAPS UP THIS POST! I WONDER IF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY OF THESE BOOKS! IF YOU HAVE, THEN PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS IN THE COMMENT SECTION DOWN BELOW! I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR THEM!
